A Permanent Home for Waine

Blog

It has been awhile, my friend!

For the past several months, I have been preparing a space to become the new home for Waine!

As some of you may know, I started an e-boutique and traveled around most of Tennessee participating in various shows and events in March of 2017. My husband, Tony, and I discussed opening a storefront eventually, but were just going to wait until we felt the time is right. One Sunday in September, Tony took an afternoon walk through the Gallatin square. I was working around the house and had missed several of his calls. When I finally heard my phone ringing, Tony was so exciting to share that he felt like he came across the new home for Waine. I was unsure at the time, but the next day we went to look at the space that was available for rent. I instantly felt like this could be it. This could be the home of my longest dream! That week we took the proper steps in sealing the space. Once we got the keys in hand, my dad, Tony, and I got to work on doing small renovations and prepping the space for our first day of opening. Two and a half weeks later we opened our doors. To see your childhood dream come to life is an amazing feeling.

I went back and forth on the perfect location for Waine and it did not take much convincing to put it in my hometown. The space is on the Gallatin square and right in the middle of a variety of other local businesses. I love this city and the community and it just made complete sense to open up my shop here. This is home for me and now it is home for Waine.

The shop is lined with rows of color-coded racks and locally made items. I hand select all of the items that are in the shop and I take a lot of pride in inventory selection. We carry leather goods, a variety of jewelry, classic style apparel, shoes, bath products, stationary, and other giftable items. We also offer embroidery for inside and outside products. We still have our website for those of you that are not local. It is new and improved: www.waineboutique.com.

I decided to give the outside a classic look: white storefront and black/white striped awning. Simple black letters spelling out Waine grace the top of the building.

Come check out the shop and all we have to offer here at Waine. We look forward to meeting you!
